Named after the historic vessels of Butuan that symbolize community, navigation, and collective progress, the Balangay Multidisciplinary Research is the flagship cross-disciplinary publication of the Merchant Marine Academy of Caraga, Inc. Operating under the LAMJAR System, this annual peer-reviewed journal bridges academic boundaries by publishing integrative studies across all MMACI colleges—including Criminal Justice Education, Maritime Education, Business & Tourism Management, Computing & Library Science, Teacher Education, Arts & Sciences, and Basic Education. Balangay welcomes research submissions from students, faculty, staff, and external researchers/ experts, advancing innovative solutions and policy briefs that drive community development, institutional growth, and regional progress.
